In order to properly test the hardness of metallic materials using the Vickers Microhardness test method, we must test in accordance with ASTM A370, E384, & E92 specifications. In order to ensure that the data we collect is highly accurate, we use a calibrated Louis Small Vickers Microhardness Tester that displays the micro indentation through a digital microscope onto a LCD flat screen which then allows us to use a dial controller to measure the impression.
Where most labs use a FILAR eyepiece to determine the value indentation, which is slow and leaves room for error due to eye fatigue, we can quickly and accurately report the hardness values of your material in a fraction of the time! |
